These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kibo mobile application and related services (“Kibo”, “the app”), operated by Reclaim IT (Australia). By creating an account or using Kibo, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Contact: support@kibo.social.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Kibo. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter these Terms. Kibo is not directed to anyone under 18.
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. One person, one account — don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.
Kibo is a place to meet real people respectfully. You agree not to:
We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe breach these rules. You can report or block other users in the app.
You keep ownership of the photos, bio, and messages you provide. You grant Kibo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate and provide the service (for example, showing your profile to other users and delivering your messages). You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.
Kibo may offer diamonds and other virtual items that unlock features such as Super Hi, Boost, and gifts. Virtual items are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use a feature within the app. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change, limit, or discontinue virtual items at any time.
Kibo offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases and subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, subject to their terms. Subscriptions auto-renew for the chosen period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play or Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by the applicable store under its policies and applicable law.
Kibo may provide automated translation of messages and voice conversations to help people across languages connect. Automated translation is provided on a best-effort basis and may not be accurate or complete — don't rely on it for anything critical.
Kibo connects you with people you don't know. Use good judgement, protect your personal information, and meet in public if you choose to meet in person. We do not conduct background checks and are not responsible for the conduct of any user. If you feel unsafe, use the in-app report and block tools and contact local authorities where appropriate.
Kibo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you'll make any particular connection.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reclaim IT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Kibo. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reclaim IT from claims and expenses arising out of your content, your use of Kibo, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
You can stop using Kibo and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Some provisions (such as content licence for already-transmitted messages, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date; continued use of Kibo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
